The clients expressed a desire to create a beautiful yet low maintenance front garden that would provide a special entrance to this 1920s ‘home for heroes’ house.

In order to achieve an all year round interest, a selection of evergreen flowering species such as Libertia grandiflora, Sarcococca humilis and Lonicera nitida were mixed with flowering shrubs such as repeat flowering Rosa ‘Aspirin rose’. Lines of ornamental grass Stipa tenuissima add movement and drama whilst a selection of summer and spring flowering bulbs bring vibrant colours to the scheme.
